Polar meets Solar, the international student cultural exchange and short film workshop
is an annual 18-day project of The Foundation. The Foundation has developed partnerships
with other international film schools and in a tri-lateral exchange, 6 students from each
institute make short films together in cross-cultural teams.
The resulting short films have won international acclaim and have aired on the
History Channel and over the GTV network for Africa.
Polar meets Solar is coordinated by Christel de Wit and David Johnson, directors
of The Mohamed Amin Foundation.
The 2009 workshop was between the TV/Film Training Centres of The Mohamed Amin Foundation
of Kenya (MoFo), the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and the Metropolia
University of Applied Sciences (Metropolia).
