The Training Course has a broad, outcomes based curriculum designed by
David Johnson to teach professional skills and techniques in
Broadcast Video Production, Film and Multi Media Communication.
After completing between 1 to 3-years’ of diploma courses, a student
is able to take up employment in the Television and Film Production Industry
or able to start their own Video Production / Multi Media Company.
The course uses a proven method that exposes the students simultaneously to
both theoretical and practical hands-on training.
Class size is kept small for optimum training result.
The students are cross-trained in all disciplines and at all levels of equipment viz.
Consumer • Professional • Broadcast • Both Analogue and Digital
The Centre has state of the art equipment including an Apple Mac computer lab.
A second and third year of advanced diploma study is available to students and
is based on merit. Second year students make actual product (content), which
gives them maximum exposure to working in the industry. Third year students act
as Teacher’s Assistants and Mentors and produce / direct/ write a Diploma short
film and Television Features and a talk show.
The alumni are known as the MoFORCE (the Force of Mo Amin) and continue to be
closely associated with the Training Centre.
The Training Centre also offers Industry short courses to help upgrade skills
and keep professionals in the TV and Film Industry updated on new technology
and multi media communication methods.
The Students’ work is internationally recognised through the many Awards won at
Film Festivals.
MoFORCE Training for Television and Film is unique in its training approach
and curriculum and is the only Training Centre of its kind on the African Continent.
